Indomie Noodles Stir Fry with Peppered Chicken
Ever tried indomie noodles in another way apart from the normal boiling method with egg?
Cooking indomie noodles or any other instant noodles in a grand style not only changes the taste but also gives the noodles a brand new inviting look. Indomie noodles is a popular instant noodles common among kids. It's easy to cook, quick and time saving. Imbibing the popular Chinese stir-fry method into cooking of indomie noodles can be a hit and it's worth trying. Here's my recipe for a noodle stir fry.
Recipe
- 2 Indomie Noodles
- 2 small size Carrot
- 3 Bell Pepper (1green, 1red and 1yellow)
- 1/8 cup of green Peas
- 1 Chicken drumstick
- 2 tbsp Pepper mix (Habanero Pepper, tomato and onion)
- 1 hard boiled egg
- 1 tbsp of Soysauce
- 11/2 stock cube
- Lettuce, Tomato and Basil (for garnishing)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/2tspn salt
Procedures
- Wash and dice carrot and set aside.
- Wash, deseed and julienne the bell peppers and set aside.
- Boil about 3 cups of water in a pot until very hot.
- Set water aside and unwrap the noodles.
- Steep the noodles in the hot water for 3-5 minutes (do not let noodles turn soggy).
- Drain the noodles and set aside.
- Heat up the vegetable oil in a pan.
- Add the carrot and let soften a little.
- Add the julienne bell peppers and green peas and stir fry.
- Add 1 stock cube ( the seasoning provided alongside the noodles can be used too but I prefer stock cubes)
- Add the Soysauce to the veggie stir-fry and let simmer a little
- Add the steeped noodles and mix together to incorporate the flavour. Then set aside.
- Season and boil the chicken .
- Fry the pepper mix in another pan, season and add the chicken
- Stir the chicken in the pepper to coat it
- Dish the noodles, garnish with lettuce, tomato, basil and half hard boiled egg
- Place the peppered chicken next to the hard boiled egg.
- And menu is set.
